TSNP CULTURAL DAY AS THEY HOST OKWONKO

Yesterday was the annual cultural day for the Sigalagala National Polytechnic. The successful day planned by the Minister of culture Hon. Kindu in conjunction with other student body leaders and institute management. Speaking during the event, the Deputy principal Mr. Oluchiri said that the main aim for the cultural day is to enhance culture in Sigalagala family, showing that the institution is one family.

On the other the Institute principal speaking during the event encouraged comrades to enhance the Ministry of health rules so that to curb Covid-19 virus. But due to the large population we can say it was impossible to fully follow the MOH Covid-19 rules. Though we think next time the school will host such a big event in this Covid-19 season they should use the football pitch, which is large enough to accommodate the big population.

Comrades were able to get chance and showed their talents and skills especially those who are in the following fields : Singing, dancing, modeling and comedy.

Introduction ware, casual ware,  professional ware, traditional ware and beach ware among others were tested under the modeling category, this category featured Mr. and Mrs. Sigalagala, Mrs. Jumbo and Mr. Flex. The following were the winners for the category respectively:

Cynthia won Mrs. Jumbo /photo/Courtesy of Royal arts/  The event was covered by the happiness of the famous Kenyan singer Okwonko who entertained the comrades to fullest, as comrades showed there love to Mejja.
