Yasmin is a role model to many Kenyan youths, but she has her own role model too. Brenda Wairimu, a Kenyan actor, is her role model. Wairimu has featured in many television shows which include Changing Times as Shareefah, Mali as Lulu and Shuga as Dala

ACTING JOURNEY

Yasmin got herself into the Maria cast after seeing an online advertisement for the auditions. She went for the auditions where she was successfully selected. Her sheng’ played a great part in her being successful through the auditions

Yasmin believes the Maria show was just the beginning of a long successful journey. For now she is into advertisements and a brand ambassador for various organizations and products. She is also part of the Jiamini initiative where she is giving back to the community by mentoring young girls
