In an interview earlier this year, Sithole had the following to say.

“I am shocked by my pregnancy. It was tough at the beginning. It was tough for me and it is still tough but am used to it now. I don’t feel the pain anymore, but it is still a bit tough. I pray for God to help me deliver all my children in a healthy condition and for me and my children to come out alive. I would be pleased about it.”

She continued saying she wasn’t convinced at first of the idea of octuplet, but after several scan she accepted the realty and prepared herself for all that could come on her way.

She expressed her fears of giving birth to the children, some with conjoined heads, hands etcetera and if they would survive. By God’s grace, all was well and successful.

Sithole had six-year-old twins thus bringing a total count of sixteen children in two births. The society and the whole world wish her well.

In May, a Malian woman had given birth to nonuplets in Morocco, breaking the record held by an American Nadya Suleman, who gave birth to eight babies in 2009.
