Haaland Carries Dortmund Against Wolves In Bundesliga

Striker Erling Braut Haaland scored two goals to help Borussia Dortmund beat VfL Wolfsburg 2-0 in the Bundesliga on Saturday.

The victory enabled Dortmund, who finished the match with 10 players on the pitch, to keep alive the hopes of completing the Bundesliga campaign this season in the top four to qualify for the Champions League next season.

Young Jude Bellingham was shown a red card for the first time in his professional career after fouling Kevin Mbabu in the 59th minute.

The two goals scored by Haaland in the 12th and 68th minutes, brought the total number of goals scored so far this season to 25.

It means that the Norwegian star has now scored a total of 16 goals away so far this season. It was the success that enabled him to break the record set by forward Pierre-Emerick Aubameyang in the squad for the 2016-17 camp.

Dortmund currently hold fifth place in the table with 55 points, the only one behind Eintracht Frankfurt who top the fourth-best list. Wolfsburg hold third place with 57 points, four behind second-placed RB Leipzig.
